It’s Nurse’s Week and we’ve been celebrating with our staff all week, but we wanted to to recognize our resident nurses. Pictured below is Ms. Joyce Cox Pittman. Ms. Pittman came from Harlan Co Kentucky to Jellico, Tn in June of 1952. Soon thereafter she went to work with her sister at Jellico Hospital. In 1959, at the age of 25, Joyce became employed at the new Williamsburg Hospital in Williamsburg, Ky and remained there until its closing. She then went to work at the Williamsburg Clinic and continued her employment there until her retirement in 1991. Joyce enjoyed each day of her 39 year nursing career. We want to extend our thank you to Ms. Pittman for her years of dedication to the field of nursing.
